What types of events can I host at Meadowlark Weddings and Events?
You can host weddings, corporate events, and private parties. We welcome all types of gatherings. Non-wedding events can be hosted on Sunday through Friday. Saturday's are reserved for Weddings and larger events.
Do you offer customizable event packages?
Yes, we offer customizable event packages to meet your specific needs and preferences. From weddings, birthday celebrations, company outings and more, it is all up to you.
Is Catering available?
While we don’t offer in-house catering, we’re happy to welcome licensed caterers of your choice. This allows you the flexibility to select a menu and service that best suits your event and budget.
Can I provide my own alcohol?
Alcohol and beverages are supplied through Meadowlark Weddings and Events and requires the use of our licensed bartenders.
Is the venue available for tours before booking?
Absolutely! We encourage potential clients to tour our venue to see the beautiful grounds and historic features firsthand.
What conveniences are nearby?
We are conviently located outside La Porte City limits; hotels, shopping and restaurants are minutes away.
Are we animal friendly?
Absolutely, whether for the ceremony or entire event you are welcome to bring your furry friends.
Is smoking allowed?
We have a designated smoking area just outside the action.
What is your capacity?
We can seat 175 comfortably in the Pavilion and up to 250 with the ajoinging room. There is plenty of green space to add tents if you provide them.
Can my flower girl throw real or fake flower petals?
If the ceremony is outside we require real, indoors can be either.
Is your space handicap accessible?
Yes, our buildings and bathrooms are handicap accessible.
Are fireworks, confetti cannons and lanterns allowed?
No, none of these are allowed. Floating lanterns on the pond are permitted.
Can I have my rehearsal at Meadowlark Weddings and Events?
Absolutely, depending on your package Thursday or Fridays may be options for your rehearsal.
What is required for clean-up?
All decor and rental items brought in from guests need to be removed by time specified in contract.
